2010 GMC Terrain design review

2010 GMC Terrain
Well, it seems that whenever Chevrolet gets a new SUV then GM has to get one as well.  It just seems that the General can never figure out who is suppose to be the truck division since every time someone in the GM family gets a new SUV or truck, then the General is close behind.  Now why would any company in their right mind create so much overlap in their product line.

Well, if anyone at GM knew that, then maybe they would not have gone into bankruptcy.  Of course, we never complain, because it always gives us something else to write about.  Unlike its Chevrolet sibling the 2010 GMC Terrain is not the better looking one, although it would make a great looking lower rider.

The 2010 Terrain takes the place of the bland but worthy Envoy.  And it seems that where the Envoy failed the Terrain added some chrome.  It seems that any surface which looks good with chrome, has chrome on it.  But of course, GM has actually done chrome well on this model.

Where it lacks is within the front end.  The one main problem with the front end, is the oversized and over consumed front grille.  This grille seems to have been taken over by a cheap space age chrome which has pushed a large chrome bar up onto the hood.  Next to this GM has added some oversized bumper guards on the side which house very poorly designed foglamps.  And lastly you have to take notice at the oversized wheel wells.  Although they are great if you lower the Terrain, they are not cool for those who just drive it around all the time.  They are just too big.
