Hyundai Azera
With the demand for luxury cars on the rise in key markets, it seems like everyone is trying to cash in.  For example Buick is one of the largest premium brands in China, even though in its home market, most still see it as your grandfathers last ride.  Well it  seems with the release of the awe inspiring Genesis

and the new Equus just arriving, it wasn’t a shock to anyone that the ill-faded Azera (Grandeur) would be in for an overhaul.  But when you’re a company who is trying to move more upmarket, it would seem a perfect fit if your first luxury model does just that.

PODCAST: HYUNDAI'S LUXURY RISE

With a newly refined look and more emphasis on the luxury appeal, it seems that the new Azera will finally become what Hyundai always wanted it to be.  But what is to come of a car which hails from a company known for inexpensive cars.  Well for that answer you would have to look at the sales figures for the Genesis and Equus.

PODCAST: HYUNDAI KIA TRUCK

With more and more consumers demanding more for their money, it just seems fitting that a vehicle with so much for so little would be a great fit for our market.  Its hard to remember that Hyundai got its start in North America as a cheap, poorly built car which was in no way anything you would be proud to purchase.  But if we remember that Toyota got its start this way as well.

So if you're one of those sceptics who believe that a none luxury company cannot build an S-Class fighter, you may want to take a look at Motor Trends February 2011 issue.  Since the new Equus has been put up against the best in the business now, and all I can say is, it’s about time I get a 7-Series for the price of a base 3-Series.
