sub-compact - Sedan
Now we all know that India is a place for small cars, still, but they are moving into the CUV craze as well. So for this most automakers are still fighting to make the best micro, sub-compact and compact cars around. Cause if you miss out on this game, it could be game over for you. And for that we move onto how you can really mess up the small car market. Sure we all know that Honda is a frequent winner on our worst dressed list, and the new Amaze is not going to change that. But if they had added a few more elements from the Civic Type R or Si, they could have made the Amaze a bit better. Up front the Accord inspired nose is nothing to get excited about, as it makes emphasizes the cross-bar grille feature. This draws your eye to the centre of the car and makes it seem like there's lots of wasted space. This could have been avoided by either dropping the cab-forward style nose of just remove the cross-bar chrome strip. We can't say anything bad about the air intakes as they add the only sport appeal to this front end. Out back is where you find the C-inspired Civic tail lights with the added glow of the Odyssey. Sure they look good on their respective models, but the Amaze could have done without them. Drop lower and you will find and enormous amount of extra space on the rear bumper. Unlike the Civic, the Amaze does not use fake rear air ducts to tone done the oversized rear bumper. This could have helped, but adding a rectangular exhaust port with a black spacer and chrome strip could have done a better job of removing the lost world of bumper land. As for the side, well we can say its a standard Honda. Not much going on and not much character. But as for the overall appeal of this model, it does have the chic fun attitude of the standard Honda, and when added with their yellow or green colouring, it could be a hip cheap car. Let's hope that next time Honda decides to add a bit more Type-R and a lot less base model. Everett J. AutoLooks.net #AutoLooks, @AutoLooks
