Well lets hand it to Ford as they are the first company not to go overboard with plastic body cladding when it comes to their active model. Sure they may be a small need for a model like this, as the cross-trek market is gaining ground on the CUV marketplace. But still do we really need a micro hatch with the visual appearance of off-road capability. No not really, but if that's what people want, then you might as well go after it.
#Ford has done a great job at making this soft roader look more like a street car than an actual off roader and unlike the competition the new Ka+ Active is sure to be more of a simple hatch than something people will think is a Jeep. As for its main counterpart, the Ka+ is still the bland brainchild of need rather than want. Sure we need a micro hatch in some markets, but we would prefer if it looked alot better. Of course we could go back to what it looked like back in the 90's when it was a bit off the wall. So lets just be happy with what we got. And really its a micro car, are many of them head turners.
