Seems Chevrolet is Copying Dodge......Again

Camaro RedLine
Found something odd while taking a look at the SEMA and Geneva auto shows.  It seems that Chevrolet is on a path to ruin Dodge's brand identity.  Why might you ask that we are saying this.  Well take a look at the new Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport and you may see the Dodge logo on the side of the hood.
Yes Chevrolet is utilizing the Dodge 2-bar logo on the Corvette and Red-Line Camaro package.  Seems that it was a great idea when it was a Dodge branded logo and label package on the previous Challenger, but now it seems that Chevrolet is looking to bring that brand image down.  This could be a true misplacement of paint, or the work of someone who wants to bring in more customers by fooling them into thinking its something its not.  Yes we have seen this marketing ploy used before with dual racking stripes running the length, but this was a feature of a personal brand, not a company brand.

It is really too bad that Chevrolet has to stoop this low to boost their sales.  Maybe next time they will utilize the Raptor body decal when they finally release their own baja inspired truck.  As we already know that Chevrolet is usually late to the game when it comes to big markets (minivan, sport trucks, muscle sedans).  Guess this could be a reason why GM has internal issues and that their credibility and market share is dropping.  Someone should tell them that they need to create their own brand, not just piggyback on another companies.  Of course this is GM we are talking about.
