Podcast Episode: 0093
The Homer, a car built for the everyday man

AutoLooks the Homer
The Simpsons have always played with pop culture on the show.  But how is it that one episode played on the automotive segment.  The Homer was a car inspired by the everyday man (Homer) for the everyday man.  So, what went wrong and why did Powell Motors fail.  This and more are uncovered on this podcast episode.

Over the years the Simpsons have played a pivotal role in modern day pop culture.  But how does one little show influence so much of our world today.  That could be right in the question you ask.   This is similar to that of the Homer Car.  Not only is this car influenced by pop culture, it itself has also influenced pop culture as well.  But how can that be?

Over the years, the Simpsons have predicted many things on the show.  Many of which were already in motion, just no one noticed it.  This is true about the car Homer Simpson created.

The Homer Car was not only influenced by the current automobile world, but the automotive concept world.  this can be found within the episode itself.  And given how much the Simpsons have influenced the world, a few things from this episode were seen within this market over the next decade.

When you get down to the basics of the Homer Car, you can find out how and why it was created.  But in the end, if you listen to your consumers enough, you many regret it in the end.
