2009 Large SUV

SUV, CUV

Kia Mohave
With a shrinking SUV market on the way, it seems that everyone is scaling back on their new, big models.  From trucks to SUV’s, the large segment is poised to become a little bit smaller.  And now that GM is considering scrapping the Hummer brand, if no one is interested in it, it seems that day of the large is about to turn into the day of the new niche
market.  With the likes of Ford and Nissan abandoning their large scale fleet, in light of weakening markets, it seems that the large truck market is about to become a niche market.  Almost like the large Van market of the late 1970’s.  But until it fully happens, it seems that most companies will just scale back a bit.
Well it seems kind of odd to be naming this year’s winner, due to the fact that it is not really known for creating really large SUV’s.  But this year they seem to have finally made that leap into the large scale market.  And with this we name the 2009 Mercedes-Benz GL32 the AutoLooks A+ winner of the year.  The new G-Class seems to be well on its way, in defining the way we look at large luxury SUV’s.  Considering that it is the only one that looks like it could be brought to the track.  With a sleek new look and an aggressive stance the 2009 G-Class is sure to turn a lot of heads.
Just like its predecessor, the new model for this company is still on a roll for being the only large SUV that actually looks like a truck with an integrated cap.  From any angle you look at it, it looks like the back was not suppose to be closed off.  And from the front it looks like it is suppose to be big and mean, but it looks more like it’s a big fat slow guy.  And with that we name the 2009 Toyota Sequoia the Rusty SUV of the year.  Now how many people can actually say that they would be able to pay for the thirst of something this big, let alone get it moving.
