mid-size luxury - cuv

Saab 9-7x
With an ever-expanding SUV market in North America, and with its new more edgy styling, it wasn’t going to take long for this reborn Swedish automaker to get into the SUV market.  With the help from its parent owner GMC, Saab has created one well-styled SUV for its market.
Considering that the 9-7X is just a redesigned Bravada/Envoy, this new SUV has its own image.  Borrowing a front end from its new 9-3, a rear from the Oldsmobile Bravada and mixing that in with the styling of the 9-5 wagon, you get the SUV before your very eyes, the Saab 9-7X.  The front end of the 9-7X is much similar to that of the 9-3-sport sedan, just a bit bigger to meet the demand of a truck front.  One new feature to this bigger front is that for the 9-7X Saab has added a larger front grille to let the big engine under the hood breath easier while working in the mountains.  Using a clear light covering over the three inner lights makes this front end look more like that of an SUV and gives the 9-7X is own look rather than borrowing the complete front end of its sedan counterpart.
Big 6-point rims give this SUV a big stance over that of a wagon and give the 9-7X a more SUV look and appeal.  On the side wheel wells are well designed into this SUV to keep the dust off the windows while roaming the trails.  An integrated roof rack shows that this SUV is meant for weekend trips to the lake or maybe to the slopes.  At the rear of the 9-7X new tail lamps take away from the look of the Bravada and make the Saab’s rear look more luxurious than its counterpart.  Besides new tail lamps the rear is just a redesigned Oldsmobile Bravada rear with new tail lamps.  The appeal of chrome and aluminum together is a not usually a good combination but on a Saab they just blend perfectly together considering Sweden is not always a warm place to be.
