Full Size Luxury Saloon - Sedan

Porsche Panamera
With a final score of 58.70%, the new Panamera is a step in the right direction.  Sure it's not a step into the "out of this world, I have to have one" territory, but it is a step into a more refined world.  Yes it does borrow ques from its siblings, but that helps make it more part of the family.  Let's hope the next generation is the show stopper, or at least its next sibling.
It seems just like yesterday we were all appalled about the Cayenne.  Then next Porsche push us once again with the Panamera and still we fought back.  But with sales at an all time high and more and more consumers moving into the 911/Boxster world because of these models, we can't fight the issue anymore.  Sure both models did depreciate the brands image and value in the sports car world, but it did bring a major boost to VW groups bottom line.  But for now we can only look to the future and see what this model can bring to the game instead of what it is taking away from a brand.

Unlike its predecessor the new Panamera is a move into the right direction.  Sure it's still just a four door 911, but then again it's a four-door 911.  Isn't that what everyone wants when they have a family.  Sure a four-door Huracan or GTC4Lusso would be cool, but then again that's not their business model.

Up front the new Panamera has kept most of the original lines and appearance, which will help consumers distinguish it from other sedans.  Sure this may make it seem like the old model, but like most of Porsche's models this is just their way of making a good product better.  One way Porsche could have made this really better, would have been to add some band lighting to the headlights instead of the old fashioned bubbles.  Sure that may seem to Audi, but hey their part of the same garage.

Out back is where you will find the real difference with this model, as the new Panamera has borrowed the tail lights from their 911 sibling.  Sure borrowing may bring the models closer together, but really there only just siblings.  The exhaust not has made a major impact on the power of the new model, adding more aggression to the rear.  Atop the rear you will see the new rear glass which hides more the trunk, making the rear of the car more hatch like than sedan like.  This gives the rear a smoother look over its predecessor, and adds to a cleaner finish making the new Panamera a better blended ride.

Along the side not much has really change except some cleaner lines.  Sure the mirrors are more aesthetically pleasing and the lines are cleaner, but it's still just a sleek Victoria's Secret model in our eyes.

Overall the new Panamera is a step into the future and could be a step in the right direction.  Sure it's not the over the top model we were hoping for, but it still has that magnetic appeal and personality to it.
