Extended Luxury - utility It seems that Lincoln is really trying to improve their brand image with more and more chrome. Of course you can add in the fact that they are now borrowing styling cues from Bentley as well. This could help them out for a bit, but when Bentley gets bored of having a partner Lincoln might be in trouble. They have already been warned about the looks of the Continental and the use of the name. And now you have the Navigator which is similar in styling and appeal as the Bentayga. Sure you can tell them apart when their next to each other, but get your average consumer to see the difference when the logo is removed. Besides the resemblance to Bentley the new Navigator is a major step up in the world of luxury. From head to toe the new Navigator is wrapped in luxury which may help bring Lincoln back into the big boys sandbox. But if they really want to play with the big boys, they may want to release a coupe and CUV coupe model soon. Of they could just chop off the back of the new Navigator and go head to head with the new Mercedes-Benz X-Class. Let's hope that Lincoln can get it together and really show us what they can really do in the luxury world. Everett J. OVERALL SCORE: 60.87% |
