Muscle Car / Sedan - aftermarket

Sure we are all happy to see some new and more powerful models from the Charger and Challenger nameplates, but really when is this going to end.  It's always a great idea to update a model during its tenure, but when you haven't really made any major updates in awhile, then it's just a case of dragging it out.  We get it the Charger and Challenger are the bread and butter of the Dodge lineup, but really are you not getting tired of all of the special editions.
Guess what we are trying to say, is when is Dodge going to get over itself and actually build us a whole new model.  Sure dragging out a great model is good for you tooling centres, but really, the Camaro and Mustang have both gone through updates during the life of both of these models.

It seems that these new products are just a way of FCA trying to extend the life of a great model, in the hopes that it saves them enough money to do the next model right.  Sure we get that by a business perspective and think its great.  It's almost like the original RAM model which lasted from 1980 - 1993.  And even that model had a few changes within that span.

I guess what we are trying to figure out from FCA, is why are you dragging your feet about this.  It is time for the Charger and Challenger to step up with the times.  It's time for both of them to receive a complete overhaul as if they don't, we feel the wind up suffering the same fate as the Chrysler 300.  Being that the 300 is starting to lose its grand following and is starting to slowly die out.  It's great that both of these models are two of the last great muscle cars to grace our ground, but as technology improves and the next generation moves into ownership, were going to see less and less demand for these models.  But hopefully FCA will fizzle out by the time that happens or at least they will finally figure out what their next step will be.

All in all, we hope the best for both nameplates, even if one is a disgrace to the original name and we look forward to its future.  Let's just hope that it's future is a long one and someone figures out a way to make a muscle car out of either a fuel cell or battery.
