Compact - Cuv (copycat)
Hyundai is no stranger to utilizing other companies designs. But for most of us, we had thought that may now be able to move past this. Unfortunately for MY2021, Hyundai has decided to borrow the profile from the king of the compact CUV ring. It may be hard to see due to changed grilled and hard side character lines, but make no mistake the RAV4 is in there.
From front to rear Hyundai does not disappoint, as their use of accent features gives nearly every nook an cranny of this product something to look at. Some of these features would have been better if they actually worked, like the break ducts. But it seems that Hyundai has overlooked one key area, as the hood of the Tucson has hardly any character at all. This is something which will need to be updated during the mid-cycle refresh. All around the new Tucson is a great product. Well great if you can look past its RAV4 outline. Let's just hope that the mid-cycle refresh cleans up the hood and their profile. Everett J. #autolooks Front End: C+ Good: Lights integrated into the grille are out of this world Bad: More character for the hood please Rear End: C+ Good: Clean accent lines on every part included the lights Bad: A bit more chrome accent could help Side: C Good: Hard character lines break up a bland side Bad: Working brake ducts could be better Overall Appeal: C+ Good: Great use of extras Bad: Borrowed profile
