2012 Mini countryman wrc
It seems odd that a company would spend millions of dollars on a project, just to cancel it after just one full season. But when your partner for creating the car pulls out, then what do you do. If your BMW, you pull the plug on the million dollar project and move onto other things.
For anyone who wanted to see Mini win another World Rally Championship, you will have to wait. It seems that since Mini and Prodrive split this spring that a factory backed Mini Countryman will be out of racing by the beginning of the 2013 season. Well I guess when you don't have someone to build your car for you, then it's best to just pull the plug. It would have been better if Mini worked on their own factory backed car instead of pulling a Subaru. So for anyone hoping to bring back memories of the 60's, you dreams have come to an end.
