Compact - sedan It seems a sort of re-birth is happening over at Honda, since lately they seem to be releasing more attractive models. One of those models which seems to be made to bring back the good old days of Honda is the new Crider. This is one car that looks like is is trying to bring back the lost soul of the Civic. Too bad for Honda that without that great looking rear, the new Crider wouldn't have a soul at all. Up front is where the Crider tends to lose a lot of its points. This is where you find an over use of thick chrome (the grille) and a poor attempt at an aftermarket hood. If you are going to follow the over sized, in your face logo, then at least bring the lines down a bit. As for the over use of chrome, Honda should stop trying so hard and just leave the chrome to the Acura lineup. Riding along the side is one line which needs to lose some weight. The over sized lower body line is a bit too much for a car with a few too many hard lines. Drop this and let it ride along the door sill with a minor indent and maybe the Crider would have a better looking side. Overall the new Crider could be a great car, unfortunately it still needs some work before it truly has a soul. Everett J.
