The Bronco is here and this time it came with a little brother.  Similar to what Jeep has done with the Grand Cherokee, the new Bronco Sport is the little brother of a full off road product.  Although it is not a true body on frame SUV, like its brother, the Bronco Sport is still more capable than most of the competition.

Although its looks may be similar to its bigger brother, the Bronco Sport is less capable of performing what its bigger brother can do.  Built more for suburban life, the Bronco Sport is marketed for consumers looking for a off road looks, without an off road ride.

Its fixed roof panels and doors give it a more suburban appeal, but the front tow hooks still make it appear rugged.   This does help the Bronco Sport, break away from the standard grocery getter design which the competition loves.  But this too could be a thorn in its side, when those suburban grocery getters get stuck.

From front to rear the Bronco Sport helps bring back memories of the 2nd generation Escape and Bronco II.  This may be what Ford needs now to help bring back its off road image, which will in turn help boost its Ford Tough appeal for its trucks.
