Truck - Aftermarket (A+ Award)
It may have taken a few years, but it seems that RAM is finally ready to do battle with the Raptor. Funny how they chose a name that closely resembles the Raptor eating T-Rex from the days of dinosaurs. But this TRX is not only ready to eat any Raptor it passes, its ready to win the battle of the Baja inspired trucks. Blog: Is RAM Ready for the TRX Back in 2017 RAM unleashed the Rebel TRX onto the world stage, hoping it would attract enough fan fare to put this product into production. But with the death of Sergio Marchionne and the shake up in the boardroom that followed, this product was slowed from release. Now with management backing the power image for both RAM and Dodge, the TRX is hear to take on the world of Baja inspired trucks. From front to rear this new addition to the RAM stable well worth the wait. Utilizing many black accents to give it that darker image, the 1500 TRX is sure to put a bit of fear into the Raptor brand. Well, that and the 702hp V8 under the hood may wake up a few people over at Ford. But again they may just sit back and wait for another gas crisis to hit us, since that 702hp V8 will be a bit more thirsty than the 3.5L V6 that the Raptor has. Podcast: T-REx to the TRX Overall the new RAM 1500 TRX is one great truck, which utilizes many great design features. RAM could have added a few more touches to make this product great as there a few areas which are in need of some updating. The biggest one being that they should have moulded the RAM logo into the tailgate and made the TRX logo a bit bigger. This could have added a few more points to the rear of this truck. So, maybe next time RAM will take our advice and really have the ultimate design winner. Everett J. AutoLooks.net COMPETITION: |
