T-Rex to the TRX

Episode: 0017

Rebel TRX
The TRX will be the first real competitor to the Raptor when it arrives, but how many of you know how far back this project really goes.  We find that out and more about this amazing product coming soon from FCA and the RAM brand.
The Rebel TRX is not the first time RAM or the Dodge brand has thought about making a powerful performance truck.  We all know about the Viper powered SRT-10, but how many of you remember the T-Rex concept from back in 96.

Dodge has been playing around with the idea of an off road performance truck for a while, but it wasn't until Ford created the Raptor, that they ever got serious about it.  Building on the success of their Mopar brand, RAM created an aftermarket competitor once, but the RAM Runner never really made its way into the hearts of many.  That could have been due to its extra expense and do it yourself attitude.

It really wasn't until 2017 when Nissan dropped their Warrior concept at Detroit, that RAM really got serious about making a Raptor fighter.  And over the past three years, they have been working hard to bring this project to market.

They may have taken their time to finally do it, but it seems that finally we will get to see a true competitor to the Raptor.
