And the 2024 Rusty Award Goes to........
different than any other. With a multitude of bottom end products, 2024 is no different except for one thing. This year there overall average has moved up.
2024 did see a rise in the number for bottom end products. But with an overall increase of nearly 100 cars to this years ratings list, it was a guarantee that things would increase overall. And it was with both the top and bottom of the list experiencing increases.
Seems that our changeover to the alternative fuel world is starting to pay off, as even the new comers to the game are playing with better looking products. All we have to do now is get through to the economy manufactures, as they still seem to be hard set on building inexcusably poor designs. But maybe when they see their sales start to drop when the better looking alternatives move in, they might reconsider there choice. Now that the larger corporations are moving into the growing entry level market, we might start to see some better products all around. This could mean that emerging markets may not be the dumping ground for poor designs it once was. Although it could still be the last haven for Rusty Award winners, as affordability always trumps design in the end. Overall the year did look a bit better, with less of the pure ugly products we have seen in the past and with an overall increase of 0.96% over 2023, it seems that even the bottom end is getting better looking. This could mean that AutoLooks is finally making its mark on the automotive design world. Everett J. #autolooks
2024 AUTOLOOKS RUSTY AWARD WINNER!
This years winner is fitting of their title win, as they made a poor design look even worse than it was a decade ago. Wallys managed to make a previous Peugeot design fall even further down the food chain, as the 719 sedan adds touches of poor planning to an already poor car. Say hello to this years overall winner of the AutoLooks Rusty Award, the 2024 Wallys 719 sedan.
