2018 Ram 1500 Legacy We see this as a sign of weakness on RAM's part as they have been slow to get the new model to market. Sure the new 1500 is worth waiting for, but continuing the previous model to keep your sales going is just a sign that once again FCA was not prepared. They could have at least just kept the standard lineup running as a crossover for at least 6 months, or until the dealer lots are fill with this years model. Sure this sounds like what they are doing, but adding a name like legacy to the previous model just shows that FCA still believes more in their previous model then the new one. Guess they should as this product was a carryover from the Daimler-Chrysler days, you know back when their lineup was growing at a steady pace and you could enter any of their product lines from the bottom and work your way up. As we have seen over the past few years since Fiat has taken control, is that Chrysler Corps former product lines are dwindling in the new product segments. This could be due to poor management and too much emphasis on new products for other lines. Maybe you should just expand on what you have already instead of making new models. That's where this Legacy model shows how the previous products were better than the new ones. Sure the new RAM is great to look at and has a lot of new products in the pipeline, but that is what you should have done with this product line. Let's hope that this overlap doesn't continue for much longer as we are getting tired of waiting for new products from FCA. Maybe it would be better if we did get one of these Legacy models, as they were at least engineered during a better time for the RAM nameplate, you know back when they were call Dodge Rams.
