Blast from the Past When you take a close look at a 1967 Miura and the new Asterion, you start to see many similarities. Anybody would take notice that the outlines of both cars are a near match to each other, but most would not see that all of side air ducts are in the same places. On top of that the short rear window and flat tail light string are just a few of the reinvented design features. Now if you thought that Lamborghini was the only one who could break a promise, it seems that Volkswagen is dipping into the past as well. They have brought the W12 back to life with the new XL Sport. If this new concept which borrows its outline and square features can do the same, maybe this time around we will see a VW supercar hit the streets. We all know that the W12 was a test bed for the Veyron, but it still would have been cool for someone like VW to create a true Ferrari fighter. The retro craze may seem to be coming to a close, but when you look a little deeper you may find that its not dead yet. Just like music today, it seems the auto industry is borrowing from the past as well. Original release date: October 1, 2014 Everett J. #AutoLooks, @AutoLooks, AutoLooks.net
