The TEsla Semi. Is it Really a Semi?
Now why would we really say that Tesla doesn’t really build a truck. Well for starters as of yet, it doesn’t. Production hasn’t started yet, so overall we get the point on that one. But why else to we call the Tesla Truck, an over elaborated electric toaster. Well for starters it doesn’t have any real attitude up front. If you don’t have that big grille then you’ve got nothing to start from. Sure we get it that an electric truck doesn’t need an oversized chrome air duct on the front because there’s no radiator to cool off. But really they could have made it look like there was one. If Tesla really wants this to become a true truck then maybe they should make it look like a real truck. Now we have come across a company called Thor, who is too working on an electric transport. And what do they have on their transport. Well they have this large fake chrome grille where they showcase their logo from. This duct can also be used to bring in cool air to the interior. So why would they do this and not Tesla. Well for starters, they don’t have the power that Tesla has to change the world. Yes we all know that Tesla can change the world, just like Apple once did. And because of this they have to follow strict guidelines to releasing a transport. If you don’t already know there are guidelines for smaller companies to follow if they want to get noticed. If you try to go overboard at the beginning you will ultimately wind up in the forgotten pile of companies who tried to change the world. Now if you want proof about this, just look at Tesla's first ride. A roadster which was built off a Lotus platform. Sure it wasn’t awe inspiring in design, but it did follow the rules for a new company trying to break through. It fit in with the crowd, instead of standing out. So why then would we be calling out Tesla on their non-transport looking truck. Well they may be able to change the world and may have secured a few orders already. But when it comes down to the independent owner/operator, they won’t be making any sales. This is because the standard owner/operator still falls under the standard looking truck paradox. They want a truck to look like a truck. It’s like trying to sell the average consumer an Enzo looking sedan, when everyone else has the accord looking car. Most people don’t and won’t change until the crowd changes. Now for us, we just want Tesla to follow the standard guidelines of the transport layout, not try and create their own new look. New is good, but until the world is use to non-grilled trucks, your actual truck may not make it. And if they really want to build this truck into a true F-150 competitor they need to add a grille and maybe ease back on the spaceship look. Everett J. #AutoLooks, @AutoLooks, AutoLooks.net
