Scion's no joke about it

No this is not a joke, this is Scion's new sedan the iA.  If you are wondering why it looks familiar, then take a look at a Mazda 2 and you will see where this ride comes from.  If you think the frog Nissan Juke was a cool take on an animal, then you might be into the new fish face iA, as it takes the fish look to the next level.
All around the new iA may become the first downfall to come to the Scion brand as this little model lacks everything that we have come to love about Scion.  A smooth body, high rise ride height and proportions that are all over the place, make this Scion a brand flop.  We would recommend you don't bet on this model and an aftermarket model may not be able to help.  Next time Scion should hook up with Ford, Chevrolet or Hyundai for a small sedan that may meet their clients needs.

Now on the other hand the new iM is sure to be a hit, as the re-branded Auris is something that does meet the needs of the Scion brand and its consumers.  As the xA is starting to age, a new hatch was needed and with the introduction of the iM, that need will be met with great respect. Even though the iM does not fit the box styling which has made Scion famous, it does meet the before aftermarket cool factor.  We would bet on this model as it will add value to the Scion brand.

Next for Scion, we would like to see the reinvention of the classic 1979 Toyota Tacoma as a new age mini-truck for the streets.  If Scion can pull that off, their lineup will be nearly complete.

Original release date: June 2015
