Is car ownership on its way out? As you already know AutoLooks is one of those websites which helps promote the automotive world and help bridge the gap between consumers and the industry. With that you might not understand after reading the attached article, about why we are promoting a world of ride hailing services, but read on and you too may agree with Kevin as well. No we are not turning out back on the world of wheels, but we are not turning an blind eye to the evolving world today and with that comes a shift from car ownership to car ridership. Sure we still believe there is a place in the world of tomorrow for automobiles, as we do come from a city which we cannot utilize ride sharing services as they are not available in our area, nor are feasible due to our size. But we do believe that major cities like Toronto, New York, Mexico City and many others should welcome the ride hailing and sharing services as an alternative to car ownership. For years we have heard about how cities around the world are trying to get more people to commute together, with the addition of entry fees to city cores, commuter lanes and even alternate driving days. But really this hasn't helped much in the way of reducing congestion. But with the advent of ride sharing services, we have found a way to move people into those commuter cars. Sure taxi and transit companies will suffer at the beginning, but in the end it will be the automotive companies who will be the ones who have to make the greatest shift as we move away from car ownership and more into car sharing services. This is becoming more apparent as companies like Lynk and Co., Cadillac and even BMW are moving into the subscription service marketplace. This will help bridge that gap which is growing between car ownership and ride sharing services within major cities. And as the market slowly moves away from car ownership, we will start to see more and more companies moving into these services. As some have already teamed up with ride hailing and sharing companies so that they can fend off the loss of sales to their product lines. So like Kevin we accept the fact that many city dwellers would be better off sharing or hailing a ride, so like him most of you would be better off not renewing your lease when its up. Take a look and see how much you could save within your home city as to how you want to handle your mode of transportation. But if your like us then you won't want to give up your freedom to go anywhere you want whenever you want, as we all know that a ride hailing service can't do what "Harold and Kumar" did when they went to White Castle.
