Why are automakers reluctant to enter Africa?

Africa the last Automotive Frontier - autolooks
Africa is growing, but automakers are still reluctant to expand into this great continent, but why is that?  AutoLooks takes a look at the last great automotive frontier and how auto companies can finally break into the African marketplace.  Can they do it and what hurtles will they have to overcome?  Listen in to find out.

Africa may not be a new continent, but to the automotive world it is still a new market.  Today sales of automobiles is on the rise in the African continent with the increase of its middle class.  But why is it that most major automakers are still shying away from the growth potential which exists here?  Could it be the uncertain political markets, the militant groups or the fact that there is no consistent infrastructure.

Many African markets are still lacking when it comes to proper infrastructure, but can that be the main reason behind a lack of automotive progress.  Or can it be that Arica has too many countries to try to tackle all at once.  Whatever the reason, the automotive world is missing out on a major growth market, which could add more value to any major player.

There are many reasons for automakers to shy away, but most of these reasons exist or have existed in other markets.  So, why is it that they are still holding off on expanding into most African countries.  This is something which AutoLooks takes a look at on this weeks episode.  How can these automakers overcome the adversities of the African market to talk hold of the largest growth potential for the the future automotive marketplace.  Listen in to find out more.
