Who is more Dangerous.  Fast or Slow?

    Who really is the more dangerous driver on the road?  The one who is moving with the flow of traffic, or the one who pulls into the flow slower than the flow is moving.  Today AutoLooks is going to break down why the faster driver is not always the one at fault for a collision.

    Who really is the more unsafe vehicle on the road?  The ones who are speeding in the flow of traffic, or the slower vehicle who disrupts the flow of traffic.  You would be surprised to know that the slower car is the one who is usually responsible for a collision, as they forced the flow of traffic to abruptly slow down.  Nothing can you stop you faster than an immovable object.

    All our lives we have been told by law enforcement, that speeding is always the cause of the accident.  If we all slow down, then the roads would be safer.  Ever heard that on the news, we sure have.  But what the police forget is that physics plays against their analogy.  A faster moving object will always collide with a slower moving one when a slower object is placed in front of it.  Funny how they always forget that there are wolves in this world who remember grade 12 physics class.

    We are not saying that speeding is ok, but when the flow of traffic is moving at a constant pace, don't move into it going slower than it.  Entering a highway slower than the flow of traffic, is the easiest way to get yourself rear ended.  And purposely blocking a lane to force them to go slower, is a sure fire way to cause an increase in aggression from the other drivers on the road.

    Everyone needs to remember that we are all in this together.  Stay out of the passing lane, unless you are going to use it to pass at the same rate of speed as the other drivers in it.
