Economy is a way to enter a market. It may not be the best way to make a name for yourself, but it does help get your foot in the door. For many of the great automakers out there, economy was how they got their foot in the door. Their first products were not the best made, but they did serve a purpose for future growth.
As we all know that everyone has to start somewhere. This is true for most as most don't start at the top of the food chain. Similar to humans, these automakers had to work their way up the food chain. But how did they do it and how long did it take? For some it took decades and others only a one, but one thing is certain, its that they all found their way to to the top.
Today we are seeing this again, but this time its happening at a faster rate. Without a true bottom to the market, these new companies are finding a way to keep their prices low, while still providing the market with what we demand. So, why is it that only a few companies are still keeping their bottom end products?
Follow AutoLooks as we take a look at how some of the biggest automakers out there managed to go from the bottom of the barrel, to the top of the food chain, as we see how they did it and how future automakers are borrowing aspects from our economy past.
