​    Hyundai started out life as an engineering firm who helped Ford enter the Korean market.  From there they moved onto their own manufacturing and soon onto their own products.  But ever since their entry into the North American marketplace, Hyundai has wanted more.  And with a little incentive from Lexus, Hyundai was able to mimic the competition into helping them spawn their own luxury arm.
