Why do we all love Steve McQueen?

      How did one man who  barely made any automotive movies become such an icon?  With only Bullitt and Le Mans under his belt, how did Steve McQueen become an icon of the automotive world.  AutoLooks takes a ride along Steve, as we traverse his illustrious career to find out how this big name actor become such a renowned automotive icon.

       Steve may not have been your run of the mill actor, as his bad boy image portrayed him.  He was spent on motorcycle racing which is what paved the way of his acting career.   Racing on weekends to help his acting career, this just might have been what made Steve such an icon.

      With racing on his backside and one of the greatest jumps in cinematic history for motorcycles, Steve was moving up the automotive food chain.  But, not until his role as Frank Bullitt, was his fame within the automotive world cemented.  This grand role gave his image the boost it required and add on that he did quite a bit of the stunt driving, you have the makings of a true icon.

     Today McQueen is remembered for his epic jump and chase scene through San Francisco.  But besides that, what else has McQueen done which makes him such an automotive icon.  That is what AutoLooks is here to dig up.
