Are we in need of a subscription mobility service?

Subscription Mobility - autolooks
Do you really need a vehicle when you live in a major city?  Some automakers don't think so, as you may only require a monthly subscription plan to be mobile in the future.  But why would any automaker want to do this?  AutoLooks takes a look at the future of mobility as we uncover what a few automakers and current subscription providers are cooking up to add onto our future monthly bills.

You already subscribe for better deliveries, so why not have yourself delivered.  This is the thought that Amazon now has, as they look at moving their Zoox brand into the world of autonomous delivery solutions.  The only odd thing about this delivery service, is that you are the product being delivered.

Subscription cars became a thing a few years ago, and with the ability to have a new car for a set monthly fee, this seemed like a good idea.  But, with the automotive industry hitting its peak for car ownership in some countries, could this help alleviate the burden of automotive maintenance.  We all thought so, as now the production company would take over all of day to day operations and we would just get to sit back and drive.  Now with a world moving into autonomous ridership, could our future be moving out of ownership all together?

A few companies are already looking at a world without ownership and how they can still make it easy for us to move around.  And since we a love the ease of subscriptions, maybe there could be a future in personal subscription services for the autonomous industry.

So, follow AutoLooks as we take a look at the how and why these companies are now looking at providing us a subscription plan for mobility, as we dive deep into the future or ridership.  We may have thought the ride-sharing was going to be our future, but could this help spawn a whole new industry for personal mobility?  Find out more on the podcast above.
