You already subscribe for better deliveries, so why not have yourself delivered. This is the thought that Amazon now has, as they look at moving their Zoox brand into the world of autonomous delivery solutions. The only odd thing about this delivery service, is that you are the product being delivered.
Subscription cars became a thing a few years ago, and with the ability to have a new car for a set monthly fee, this seemed like a good idea. But, with the automotive industry hitting its peak for car ownership in some countries, could this help alleviate the burden of automotive maintenance. We all thought so, as now the production company would take over all of day to day operations and we would just get to sit back and drive. Now with a world moving into autonomous ridership, could our future be moving out of ownership all together?
A few companies are already looking at a world without ownership and how they can still make it easy for us to move around. And since we a love the ease of subscriptions, maybe there could be a future in personal subscription services for the autonomous industry.
