We have all seen them and most of us have had the same thought.  But what really defines a true toaster car.  Can anything with a two-box layout be a considered one?  AutoLooks takes a look at this question and helps you understand the background of the toaster car world.

We all know what a toaster does and why we have one.  But why do auto makers have them and what is there purpose in the automotive world?  This is a question which some people ask when they see a two-box design coming down the road.  To answer your question, these products to serve a vital purpose within the automotive world and will continue to in the future.

Two-Box of Toaster Cars as most people call them, play an important part of the automotive world.  Not everyone can fall head over heals with design, but the concept behind them is one that most designers strive for.

We all want more room and some of us are willing to sacrifice looks just to get it.  And when we are dealing with small packages, this is usually the best layout.  As no one likes a cramped econobox with no storage room.  That is why designers make what we call the toaster car.  Maximizing space at the sacrifice of design has its benefits, but in most cases, most consumers will not agree.

The Toaster Car is one of those products which most don't understand why it exists, but in the end we still need them.  Toasters can be cool to some, but in all reality they are just that, a toaster.  Who wants jam on their toast!
