2015 A+ Awards

3/23/2021

And the 2015 A+ Award Winner is.......

2015 A+ Awards
Seems that after coming in seventh last year wasn't good enough for Chevrolet and the Corvette.  With the rise from 7th to first, the new Z06 has certainly beaten all of the rest.  Of course last year it had to compete with the LaFerrari, 918, i8 and Hypersport.  This year the crowd of sports and supercars has dropped significantly, paving the way for more aftermarket product to take the lead on design.
After a full review of the new models for 2015, it seems that we don't really have much to look forward too.  With most the best new products being sedans, CUV's and aftermarket versions of current models.

Rated: 2015 Ford Mustang

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray stormed onto the scene with its large-mouth bass front grille and hard lines.  This has made it one of the most desirable Corvettes since the 70's and is sure to make its place in history.  With more competition coming from Ford, Acura and Infiniti, it seems that Chevrolet is wasting no time in getting their top of the line Z06 to the market.  Making it to the top of the list this year, the 2015 Z06 is what happens when you take a desirable model and add on the extra touches you missed on the original.

Rated: 2015 Acura RLX

Up front the Z06 removes the happy face grille with a break in the air intake along the side.  This creates a more fierce looking front end.  Add to this the track inspired front spoiler and cowl hood and you have one the best looking front ends on the market.

Rated: 2015 ford F-150

All around the new Z06 is a step in the right direction which shows us where the aftermarket world is going and where the rest of the competition should be in 5 years.  The 2015 Z06 is worthy of the AutoLooks Best, due to its desirable factor and that it is one of the few street/track cars from a major company.  Now add in a price tag that is closer to the average mans salary, and you have the makings of a #1 model.

Lets hope that Chevrolet can keep up this roll for the 2016 model year.

    About

AutoLooks "RATED" is where we rate and review vehicles from around the world from every segment of the automotive industry.  Our 1,215 point system is based on Four (4) key areas of automotive design.
AutoLooks rates the Front End, Rear End, Side and Overall Appeal of each and every new vehicle from around the world.
If they rate above 75%, they receive our
    A+ AWARD for design excellence.
If our rating system turns up a score below 45%, then that model will receive our RUSTY AWARD of design failure.
And don't think of borrowing to many design features from another company, or you will wind up taking home our COPYCAT AWARD.  This award outlines which model they are borrowing from and how close they are to the original
At the end of each year, AutoLooks puts together all of the their information into one easy to read article which outlines the best, worst, lost and new products from each year.
So join us on our journey of automotive criticism and take a look on our RATED pages to see how well each company, segment and model fair against their rivals.
