2018 MS-RT Ford Transit Custom - A true van

MS-RT Custom Transit
We all know that most of you out there believe that we at AutoLooks are not that big of fans of Vans.  That is true about minivans as most of us prefer to be seen in a SUV or large CUV.  I get it, the large CUV's out there today are just lifted Vans without sliding doors, but really they do look better.
And on top of that they ride better, as our week long with a Grand Caravan has shown us that minivans are not the best thing in snow and slush, were as the CUV is.  But can a Van really become better enough than a CUV to persuade us the Van side.
I know what your thinking first and that the Van in question is an aftermarket product, and not straight off the factory floor.  But really who said the G-Class was great off the line, not us as we prefer an AMG or Brabus counterpart for our G-Wagon.  And as for the CUV market, most are good, but none are truly the bomb when it comes to top marks in our design study.  No even the CUV market is better in the aftermarket world.  But for this article we are looking at how a Van can actually change our perception of a van and maybe get us into one.

The 2018 MS RT Ford Transit Custom is something that we have come to expect from the other side of the world.  This is not something that you would likely see on N.A. soil as we only use vans for soccer moms and commercial use.  But this Van in particular is from a product line that we can obtain on our shores.  The aftermarket in question may not be but the Transit van is here in North America.  So essentially we could have this great beast of a Van parked in our driveway.

Fresh off the factory floor the Transit is one of the better looking passenger/commercial vans out there, but when MS RT gets at hold of it, it becomes the best looking Van out there.  One that is even so great that we would park it next to our Challenger Hellcat and CX5.  Yes this a Van that could change our minds about Van ownership and even make us want to become part of the school carpool.  But for us on this side of the pond we don't have the option and for now we will just have to hope that MS-RT sets up a shop for us to enjoy the labours of their love.

And remember that Ken Block does work with Ford, so maybe someone could persuade him into a VanKhana episode to spark more people's interest in this great van.  So for now just keep drooling over this great van and think about how great it would be to show up at your kids school or a job site in one of these great vans.
