Automotive Marriage

Why do automotive product marriages happen?

Automotive Marriage - AutoLooks
Marriage is a recognized union of two (2) people as partners in a personal relationship.  This is what most of us know, but it is also a combination or mixture of two or more elements.  In the automotive world this is what is true, as companies mix together to create duplicate products which create a shareable end product.  AutoLooks takes a look at why this happens and what the true end product is.

Automotive marriages have been happening since the inception of the automobile and even in todays market, it does not seem to be slowing down.  Sure, there seems to be an alarming divorce rate among auto companies, but there are still a few marriages which work out for the betterment of both companies.

Today it seems that companies want to work away from each other, not wanting a bond, partnership or marriage to help others out.  This has made the automotive market today smaller than before, with companies producing less different models.

Without marriages, some markets may disappear all together.  But there is a glimmer of hope, as a few companies are still willing to get into bed with each other to keep these markets alive.  Without them we could be doomed to a bland four-door future.  AutoLooks takes a look at why companies get into bed with each other and why they have initially done this over time.
