| What ever happened to the entry level world and where did all the economy cars go? This is something which is becoming more of an issue today, as the entry level world is being swept under the rug. Follow AutoLooks as we take a look at the issues which arise from a lack of entry into the automotive world and what else this issue can impact. |
Economy cars used to be everywhere, but today they can only be found in developing countries. But why is that? Is it because we have no need for them in the developed world or is it that we are waiting longer to enter the automotive world? The real question should be, what will happen to those who cannot enter the automotive market earlier and what future impact will it have.
Over the past two decades, we have seen a major drop in the entry level segment of the automotive world. Pushed by more urbanization and better public transit, the world has moved away from entering the automotive market earlier. Without the consumers of larger cities entering the market earlier, there has been a drop in demand for these products. But outside of the urban core, there are still consumers who still require them. So, why are auto companies moving away from this market entirely?
Not all companies are dropping these products from their lineup, but a larger portion of them are, as the profits just are not there for them. But with less product available for those who still need them, what will happen to the future sales of these companies? This is a question which AutoLooks can answer and will, on this episode of the AutoLooks Podcast.
