Why do limited production vehicles exist?

      Most automakers have had them over their lifetime.  They bring awareness to your brand on a big scale.  But, why do auto companies make these exquisite pieces of machinery if they don't plan on keeping them for the long haul?  AutoLooks takes a look at the why auto makers do this and why some just don't get into this market.

        Auto companies around the world know that they can bring in customers.  So, why don't they all do it?  Halo Cars are not just your everyday vehicle offering, they help put more emphasis on the company and bring more of a global awareness to the brand.  This can help your bottom line, but after paying for this amazing models engineering is it really worth it?

        Over time it could be, as your company could make the history books and remember that games like Gran Turismo and Forza, love to add favorites from the past.  This can be seen from Lancia, as today it only has one product offering and yet everyone still knows the name.  Why is that?  Well, lets just say the Stratos had something to do with it.

        Without these great models, your company could be lost to time.  Remember Borgward?  Most of us outside of their home country and now China won't.  Without having a memorable model, which sets the bar for automotive supremacy, companies like this just fade into the background.

        Knowing this, its hard to believe that today some of the biggest players in the automotive world still don't have a halo car.  Could this mean that they are too big not to know, or are they just not in it for the glory.  All we can say, is that we love our halo cars and hope more automakers make them.
