Come with us as we explore the ever changing crossover segments which are now emerging from the auto industry. Why do we have coupe profiles, lifted sedans and trucks with more luxury features than your standard sedan. We explain what is happening to the auto industry and why this evolution is happening.

From an average of three (3) vehicles per driveway back in the early 2000's to less than two (2) today, our need for more vehicles is diminishing. We still want our own personal mode of transportation, but our need to have that fun car or family trip vehicle is decreasing. And to change with our tastes and decrease in amount of vehicles owned, auto companies are blending multiple models together so that they hit the right mark with what the consumer wants.
Thought the CLS and X6 were odd when they came out. Today they are the norm when it comes to their market, as we are seeing a dying trend in the sports, coupe and convertible marketplace. This doesn't mean we don't want a sports car, but it does mean we don't want to pay to keep one for the minimal amount of times we will use it.
With that idea came the birth of the crossover over vehicles which are now blending more than one segment together. This will help the ever decreasing market survive, but will it be enough to keep it going strong.
