2015 Chevrolet Aveo

Chevrolet Aveo sedan

With a final score of 47.39%, the new Aveo is a far cry from the outgoing model. I do not know what is going through the minds of the GM designers who came up with this refresh, but they lost the main appeal of this little car. Next time they should leave the eccentric headlights alone.

2015 volkswagen Passat

With a final score of 57.83%, the new Passat is a move in the wrong direction for VW. Yes this car may come off as more of a mid-size with lots of room and a bit more sport appeal, but it still has bland and boring body lines. Next time VW should use more dark lines and add in some more attitude.

With a final score of 60%, the new BenBen is a major step in the right direction for Changan. Lets hope the rest of the Chinese automakers step up their game and start making models with this much sex appeal. Good job Changan.

With a final score of 60.43%, the new Pulsar is a minor step up the evolutionary ladder. Too bad it lost touch with its back side when getting an overhaul. Maybe next time Nissan will do a perfect job on both sides.

Acura RLX

With a final score of 60%, the new RLX is a step up for Acura, even if it is just a Honda in a tuxedo. Someone needs to let Honda know that they really need to step up their game if they want to be a tier one luxury company. Maybe next time they will push Acura into the big leagues.

With a final score of 60.87%, the new 508 SW is a step in the wrong direction. Next time Peugeot should stick to their own design language, or at least their home countries design language. If you want to use your panic button all of the time, then the new 508 is for you, as it will get lost in the crowd.

With a final score of 68.26%, the new canyon is sure to make a major impact on Toyota's sales. It may look all new but the new Canyon still has some aspects from the past. These aspects could have been left in the past.

With a final score of 48.70%, the new F-150 is a somewhat welcomed change. Too bad it wasn't enough of a change to make it more than what it currently is.

Jeep Renegade

With a final grade of 46.96%, the new Renegade just misses getting a Rusty award. That is a good thing since it is always bad to start off at rock bottom. Too bad this little Jeep does not have the heart and soul of the Jeep brand. I guess someone saw only dollar signs with Jeep, and not a brand that needs to stay true to its heart and soul.
