Why is everyone all in on one power Source?

Picture
Why is everyone going all in on just an electric future?  Everyone knows you are suppose to spread your portfolio across multiple markets and yet here we are going all in on one power source.  Follow AutoLooks as we take a look at some of the alternatives we should be expanding our portfolio with.

Why is everyone rushing to setup infrastructure for only one replacement power source for the internal combustion engine?  Governments around the world are giving massive incentives and pouring billions of dollars into pushing through infrastructure projects for the EV rise.  But why are they putting all their eggs in one basket, as it seems like we already did this before when we pushed for the petroleum world we live in now.

When the automotive world started off, we enjoyed a glorious time for power revolution.  Eventually we settled down and decided that oil was out best bet for this market, but was this the right choice.  Life is about choices and when it comes to things most of us prefer if we have a choice on something.  So, why did we do away with all the other forms of propulsion and focus only on one power source?

Oil may have won the fight over its alternative power sources, but in the end consumers will ultimately want more.  Today is that day and it seems like countries around the world have the same belief they had in the beginning.  ONE source to rule them all!

Today pure electric vehicles are running up against stiff competition from hydrogen, natural gas, and flow cell technology.  But with governments backing only one, will the others have a fighting chance?  Follow AutoLooks as we look at the alternatives and why putting all our eggs in one basket is a bad thing for all of us.
