how has Forza change the world of racing games?

       Arriving just in time to pick up where Sega GT left off, Forza Motorsports has come a long way from where they began.  With the king of racing sims Gran Turismo in their sights, Forza has led a different path against their rival.  Now AutoLooks will take you down that path to see how Forza has carved out their own niche in the racing world.

​      Gran Turismo thought for a bit that they had won the day, as Sega pull the plug on its Dreamcast system and with it, their Sega GT racing SIM.  But in the background the XBox gaming system was gaining ground and with the fall of Sega, one less rival to fight.  So, how was Microsoft going to use the fall of Sega to their advantage.  Forza was one of those ideas.

       Forza was born to be a true competitor to the GT franchise, but over time it soon became the end all for racing games on the X-Box gaming system.  From its humble beginnings as a true racing SIM, to becoming an open world adventure game inclusive of Hot Wheels and Lego products, Forza soon became more than what it was truly set out to be.  Utilizing new technology from Microsoft and their counterparts, this franchise soon became the #1 all around racing game for the automotive world.

​        Today the Forza franchise has ventured into nearly every aspect of the racing world, with only having one major market to yet conquer.  But, can this franchise move forward enough to take down their arch rival, or will they have to settle for 2nd place.  Listen in to find out more about this great franchise and where they still have to go.
