Hyundai is building a truck soon.  Should Kia follow suit as well.  AutoLooks takes a look at how both companies would benefit from a truck and which segment each company should enter.

   Hyundai may be the bread and butter of the Hyundai Motor Group, but they may not be the best choice for a new truck.  
​

    With the soon arrival of the all new Santa Cruz CUT, Hyundai is off and running with the truck market.  But shouldn't their counterpart Kia jump into this ring as well, considering that they build an actual full frame SUV.  Add to this their long running Mohave model and maybe Kia is better suited to hit the mid-size truck market.

     Add to this the track record of Kia being involved in producing military vehicles and you have the makings of a company who is better suited for the mid-size truck market.  But let's not shy away from Hyundai's dream as well.  As Hyundai is better suited for the CUT marketplace.

     In the end they both have their pros and cons, but only one thing is for certain.  Hyundai will be the first to the market.
