2009 Volkswagen Routan design review

​            The first on our list was a late entry made by a German firm.  This model is supposed to evoke the hippy within us, but really it just evokes a Dodge branded Volkswagen.  The 2009 Volkswagen Routan is one model which seemed to take forever.  Released ten years too late and designed around an existing mini-van, the Routan is one model which may 

not survive.  Had this model been designed to look more like the original mini-van, the Micro-Bus, then maybe it would not have succumbed to so much scrutiny.  Although it looks a bit better than its Dodge cousin the Routan still has many problems.  The one main problem with this model that until you see the VW at the front, you do not know who makes it.  And if I were VW, I would not have used the same wheels as Dodge.
