2010 Acura ZDX design review

​            First on our list of new comers is a company which never really built a true SUV but still had more of an image of an SUV.  With the release of the 2010 ZDX, Acura can now say that they do have a crossover.  This helpless little model is the need to fill a small but increasing gap within the Acura brand.  Turning a TL into an CUV really is an ingenious way of 

adding some interest to your line.  Of course, this interest doesn’t come cheap, since the way they made their CUV look, may take some really good bargaining to convince people it’s the fit for them.

       One of the main problems with this design is the fact that it tries to be too much.  Take the headlights, good aggressive lines, but they are just too tall at the front.  Yes, it’s a good idea to follow the front grille, but when you make your headlights seem bigger than it, then it might not be.  Next does Acura really think that their new grille is something cool.  It looks like someone ran out of time making the grille, so they just slapped on a sheet of steel and said it was done.  And just to add in one last point, Acura should really bring their front air ducts up.  You know maybe make them a bit larger, so it adds some more sporting appeal.
