2010 Aston Martin Rapide design Review

​            A couple of years ago I was at the Detroit auto show and I noticed that Aston Martin had a car on a turn table.  It seemed odd at first since most times they just display their cars.  But when I saw that the concept was a four-door version of the then DB9 I knew that Mercedes had something to worry about.  Now a couple of years down the road and here we are talking about the 2010 Aston Martin Rapide sedan.  

      This is a new pinnacle car for a new company.  Free from the Ford premium brands Aston Martin can now work on models which best feature their ground breaking luxury.  Well, if your one of the few people out there who think this is a bad idea, then maybe you should be taking another step back and really look at the new Rapide.  Sure, all it is a four door DB9 with big mirrors and an odd rear overhang.  But it’s a car that will change the face of Aston for the next decade.

      Well, that is for sure since maybe Aston should have made a whole new platform and whole new design for this car, since the Rapide looks like someone just added four doors to a regular DB9.  If you really wanted to get into the sports saloon market then maybe you should have started with something new.
