2010 BMW 5-Series GT design review

​            When you think of a company which likes to be know for performance, then who do you think about.  Most think of either a BMW or some sports car manufacturer.  Now when it came time for BMW to create its own crossover, we all thought that the X6 was it.  Well apparently, we were all wrong because BMW had other plans.  There plan was to release the new 2010 BMW 5 Series GT.  

       Now why would a company who already has wagon model of this car release an odd-looking crossover version.  No one knows, and I guess no one wants to explain either.  Considering this does not look like anything BMW would ever create.  Now when they did the X6 CUV they went in all the right directions, but when it comes to the GT, they went in all the wrong directions.  This car seems to bring back that horrible looking duck tail of the early 00’s.  This was one design feature which many consumers did not like.

       Now from the front the car does look rather nice except for the boring lower air duct.  When you move along to the side all you can see are the bland sides, but hey they still look ok.  But when you move to the rear of the car, all you can see is that hideous looking duck tail, which seems to come off like a Pontiac Aztek.  It seems that BMW decided to create a car which brings back the feel of the Aztec with all the appeal of a luxury car.  Too bad for them the Aztec was a dud.
