2010 Chery A3 design review

2010 Chery A3
Our first entry this year, is from a company we have never had in this segment before.  And one from a country we all too soon forget has car companies.  The first entry is 2010 Chery A3.  Although it is not completely a mid-size sedan, it still has the same charm as the rest of the cars on our list.  At first glance you see a more Korean look to the car, but if
everyone remembers who the Chinese build cars for, then you will see where this design language comes from.  Some nice key features of this design, is how the windshield flows very nicely from the hood up onto the roof.  This makes the cars profile seem more natural, rather than manufactured.  Added key notes are how Chery integrated the exhaust into the rear design.  This is a feature, which many cars in this segment do not do.  Now although this car may seem to flow well, that could also be one of its biggest design flaws.

Considering that the hood flows nicely onto the windshield, the headlights at the same time have added a notch along the side of the car, destroying the perfect flow of the front end.  Added to this is the fact the rear of the car is more of a bubble then an actual hatchback, and you have the workings of a bubble car.
