2010 Ford Fusion design review

​            Now for a car which everyone can remember.  The 2010 Ford Fusion may just be a mid-cycle re-fresh, but it may be what the car really needed.  Considering the front end of the previous model was dwarfed by the large “Way-Forward” grille, of the North American designers. We may 

be in for something better this time around.  This year the North Americans have seemed to pick up on some of the design language of the Europeans.  Since the 2010 Fusion has more curves than edges, we may be in luck this time around.  Some nice key features of this year’s model are that the sides of the car seem to flow better, with its smooth lines and well-proportioned wheel-wells. 

     The headlights are evil, but could be eviler than that.  Some really bad features are well what the last car was poor on.  The front grille.  And this time around they have added a truck styled hood and front air-duct to the look.  I still don’t know who you have to beat up a Ford, but this “Way-Forward” grille, is really not working for anyone.  Dump the three-bar grille, and throw in a bee-hive inspired grille, from your trucks of the early 2000’s.  And as for that awful looking hood.  Either add an air-duct to it, or drop the crease line, down into the hood.  Only air-ducts work coming out of a hood, not large bumps or in this case bump.
