2010 Lincoln MKT design review
If I had to choose one vehicle to send back to the design table, then this would be it. Who would ever think to create something like this, which uses so many outdated designs? One major design flaw with the MKT, is the use of a lifted body line. This is something which works well on sports cars and SUV’s, but on a boxy, bland looking wagon like this, then maybe you should pass on the feature. Next Lincoln should reconsider the use of plastic looking rocker panels. Sure the 2000 Chrysler 300M made them look good, but that car had the right colors to go along with the plastic panels. The one major problem with all new Lincolns is the use of an outdated front grille. This prehistoric looking grille from the 30’s and 40’s may have looked good back then. But today it just looks odd, especially on a vehicle like the MKT. Everett J. #autolooks Overall Grade: D
