2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS design review

2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS
Now if I said happy, fun, bubble car, what would your first thought be.  Might it be one of a cartoon cars with a happy face, or could it be of the 2010 Porsche GT3 RS.  Well for about 99% of us it would be the cartoon car, and for the other 1% a mixture of Volkswagen products, namely the Bug and any Porsche.  Every time I hear of a new model for Porsche the first
thing that comes to my mind is “will they ever move on and away from that 1950’s design already”.

Yes, I am not a real big fan of Porsche, but I still do admire a company who could totally destroy its self image of fun fast sports cars, to a fun fast sport anything company.  But when you try to make an already dying design better with a “apparently new” aftermarket model, you have to stop and think about what people really want.  In this case someone at Porsche thinks people want another iteration of the 911.  No really, we don’t have enough out, might you add an eighth model to the 911 name.   And when you do that could you use all of the same aspects added with some new bland features.

Just take for instance the miniature sad face grille on the bottom, or the slit acting as a front grille on the what is actually the trunk of the car.  Now of course if I was given a car like this, I would be happy, but even then, I would be thinking of ways to make it better.
