2010 Porsche Panamera Design Review

​            Back in the 1970’s Porsche had the bright idea to create a four-door car to help boost its sales.  Lucky for us it never got past the initial thought stage.  Then back in the 1980’s when Porsche started producing front engine cars it again had the idea of creating a sedan.  They went as far as to creating an actual concept.  But back then they thought that it would diminish the perception of the brand.  

      Well after you create something like the Cayenne and it’s a hit, maybe its time to dust of the sedan idea yet again.  Well, it’s been close to a decade in the works but finally they have released the 2010 Porsche Panamera.  Well unlike its SUV cousin the Panamera is something out of this world.  Sure, the front of the car is very Porsche but the rear of the car comes off like a bad hatchback.  Sure, it meant to be a sports saloon, but when the back looks more like a hatch then you might have problems.  It would have been nice to see some sort of truck lid, rather than a large sheet of glass.
