2010 proto Motors Spirra design review

​            After years of owning a supercar company it just seems like it took too long for Malaysia to make its own supercar.  When your biggest auto company owns Lotus, you would think that maybe you would have some sort of home-grown sports car industry.  

       But after years of waiting Proto motors is the first to jump into supercar industry.  The 2010 Proto Motors Spirra is hopefully the first of many new sports cars from Malaysia considering they do have two car companies when South Africa and Canada have none.  The only problem with the Spirra is that it looks more like it belongs in the either the 1980’s or 1990’s.  It has a Ferrari Testarossa appeal to it and uses modern headlamps to distract you away from the complete Ferrari look.  Another big problem are the side mirrors which are too big for the car. Now if you take the headlights and cut them in a bit you would have a decent looking design.
